ALL AT SEA WITH SALSA
Salsa classes were run at sea recently aboard HMAS KANIMBLA while the ship was operating in the Darwin area. The classes were conducted by Lieutenant Commander Graeme Wong as part of a 'lifestyle' program on KANIMBLA. Graeme, who is himself a salsa student at LADA, ran the classes attended by about 30 enthusiastic personnel over two weeks. The photographs show the class in the hangar on the ship warming up and practising their moves to the wonderful selection of Latin music provided by Francesco. Although conditions were not ideal with people having to dance in sports shoes on a non-skid floor, the enjoyment of learning salsa is obvious. Further classes are planned during future periods at sea.
